We spent the holidays with Gabe’s family in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis/St. Paul. There are some adorable kids in his family so naturally, we photographed them! How could we resist? For this set of images, we took a very loose, au naturel approach. It was great to capture the people we know and love in their environment, all defenses down. So, enjoy some of our favorite family pictures featuring beautiful baby Brenna, precocious and precarious Micah, the absolutely adorable Anja, and the new Australian Shepard puppy, Cedar.

Smith Family Portraits

This family portrait session makes me smile for several reasons. One is because the Smiths are family, and it’s always really great to photograph familiar faces. Another reason is because these kids, my cousins, are hilarious and adorable. Especially Dylan, the little guy. We had riot with them on a gorgeous and unusually warm fall evening at Van Hoosen Farm in Rochester. Afterward, the kids changed into their pj’s and had a good time jumping on mom and dad’s bed. This was great for us, too, because it gave us an opportunity to do some fun indoor stuff heading into the cold winter season! The Smiths truly are an awesome and fun-loving family. Enjoy their pics, they will surely leave you smiling!

Eden

Her name says it all. This is beautiful, sunny, heavenly Eden whom we just adore! She is an absolutely gorgeous child, inside and out. And, she’s at a great age for portraits: 5. Though kids are cute at every age, there’s something especially cute about 5 year olds…with their big eyes and rapidly developing personality, it’s just a great age to capture in photographs. So if your child is just about that age, hurry up and give us a call! You don’t want to miss this fun time of his or her life We know you’ll enjoy these pics just as much as we do! Slimak Family Portraits

Having a rough week? All you need to do is look at these pictures and everything will be okay. Meet the Slimak family with baby girls who are guaranteed to make you smile. Every time I sat down to edit these, I would seriously end up laughing because the youngest one, Easter, is soooo squishy and cute! We had such a great time hanging out at their family’s vintage farmhouse in Bloomfield for this shoot. I really love these pics in particular because as we’re rapidly approaching fall, these are so warm and summery, and the family has such an awesome love for each other. Well, enough of my rambling! Peasley Family Portraits

Meet the Peasley Family. They are, as you can see, an adorable and photogenic bunch that contacted us last fall from their exciting lives teaching abroad. To commemorate the adoption of their beautiful daughter, they decided it was family portrait time! They are in Michigan for the summer and we had so much fun photographing them at Cranbrook Academy. Our favorite part about the shoot was the energy and life that radiated from each and every one of them… especially the little ones! Enjoy the pics! They’ll make you smile because they sure made us smile.

Nicholas & Avery

Meet two incredibly beautiful children! Ages 4 and 2, Nicholas and Avery were tons of fun to photograph. The way they stood or sat very still and worked the camera, it was almost like photographing adults. They are truly too cute! We had fun roaming and romping with them around grandma and grandpa’s lovely Birmingham townhouse. Have fun catching a glimpse of our amusing morning!
