Megan & Nick

It was a gorgeous, glowy summer evening when I photographed Megan and Nick for their engagement session. These two complement each other so well and were so much fun to work with! Because they both have a love for travel and adventure, they are planning a warm, tropical destination wedding this winter. Megan and Nick: You guys were a riot to shoot and I absolutely love these photos!! Enjoy a few of my favorites below and click the link at the end to see more!

Scott & Cathy

It’s always fun to partner with people who have a love for and an understanding of photography. Scott and Cathy, who are getting married this fall, are a funny and laid back couple who both work in the advertising industry. We had a lot of fun during the engagement session on the lovely Detroit riverfront. These two have a mellow, hippie side to them as well as a contemporary, artistic edge. It was so much fun to capture both sides of their personalities! Scott and Cathy: It was a riot working with you two! Enjoy a few of my favorites from your engagement session below and I can’t wait to shoot your wedding in the fall!

Caroline & Adam

The only thing more difficult than photographing and editing pictures of your own child, is photographing and editing pictures of dear friends. Caroline and Adam, who you may remember from their engagement session, are very good friends of ours and it was amazing to be a part of their wedding in this way. It involved a little bit of multitasking as I was not only a bridesmaid, but one of the photographers as well (in addition to Gabe and another shooter we hired for the day, Danielle.) Chaotic as it was, I wouldn’t have had it any other way. There were SO many highlights: Caroline’s stunning Enzoani lace gown which looked impeccable on her, the gorgeous and diverse florals, the handcrafted tree-trunk centerpieces and cake stands made by Caroline’s dad, the beautiful big tent, Scottish bagpipes at the start of the ceremony, the MOST AMAZING entrance of a bride we have ever seen – Caroline walking down a long hill to ethereal instrumental music made everyone cry, the out-of-this-world location at the private residence of Adam’s friend, the skipping-down-the-aisle-recessional, the hilarious DJ Bryan Rossi who’s not only a friend of the bride and groom, but also a member of the freecreditscore.com band, The American Secrets, and a really fun dance party that never lagged. Adam and Caroline: What can I say? You two are absolutely made for each other. It has been such pleasure documenting this time in your lives. We have so many favorite images from the day and it was hard to narrow it down for the blog so…enjoy a *few* of our favorites below and the click the link at the end for more!
